Daniele De Rossi’s Roma host Cagliari at the Stadio Olimpico tonight and have a chance to win the third game in a row, something José Mourinho only achieved once this term.

The Giallorossi meet Claudio Ranieri’s Cagliari at the Stadio Olimpico tonight in De Rossi’s third game in charge.

The former midfielder beat strugglers Hellas Verona and Salernitana in his first two games as the new Roma coach and, as reported by Monday’s printed edition of Tuttosport newspaper on page 23, winning the third consecutive game would allow him to equal a Mourinho record.

Roma, in fact, won three games in a row only once during the Special One this term, so De Rossi has a chance to equal his predecessor.

New signing Angelino is expected to start as a left-back as Leonardo Spinazzola is injured, while Tommaso Baldanzi will begin on the bench tonight with Stephan El Shaarawy, Paulo Dybala and Romelu Lukaku starting the third consecutive game in attack for the Giallorossi.
