Rodrigo de Paul is not having an easy time at Atletico Madrid and a return to Serie A could be on the horizon, with Juventus and Milan both reportedly closely monitoring the situation.

The 28-year-old Argentinian midfielder has not looked particularly comfortable in Diego Simeone’s system since his arrival last year and he’s been at the centre of controversy in recent weeks after a photo surfaced of him at a music event in Miami, when he was given the day off by the club for family reasons.

As reported by Marca, De Paul is slipping out of Simeone’s plans at Atletico and could be on the way out in the coming months. He signed a five-year contract with the club last year and has a market value of around €35m.

Juventus, who were heavily linked with De Paul before his move to Spain, and Milan are both keeping a close eye on the 28-year-old’s situation, ready to take advantage of any market opportunities.

  1. Give him to PhD Max and watch him decline into the abyss. No better coach in world football to complete the full zombification of any player.
