Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly rejected the chance to sign Udinese star Rodrigo de Paul.

According to Calciomercato.it, De Paul was possibly Tottenham-bound after they were ‘offered’ the attacker, who primarily plays as an inverted left winger.

However, the website notes Spurs turned down the 24-year-old for the reason that they were ‘looking for players with other characteristics’.

That leaves Inter as his likeliest destination, although the Nerazzurri would not bring him in the summer, while CM notes he can be snapped up for €25m this month.

De Paul has scored six goals and assisted three in 19 Serie A appearances this season, earning him his first Argentina caps.
