Rodrigo De Paul admits he is aware many clubs are interested in signing him, but ‘can’t choose’ between Serie A, La Liga and the Premier League.

The Argentinean playmaker is one of the hottest commodities in the summer transfer window, but Udinese’s asking price is in the region of €40m.

“I’ve already told my agent what I think, I can’t say more. I am accustomed to the fact that people talk about me. But Udinese fans love me and I am the captain of this team,” De Paul told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Top clubs from England, Spain and Italy have been linked with securing De Paul’s services. Which league does he prefer?

“I watch all of them, I haven’t thought about it. There are clubs interested in signing me, but I only think about Sunday," the midfielder replied.

What’s his relationship with Udinese coach Luca Gotti?

“I remember his first day in charge really well. Sometimes he would walk away to think. I immediately told him that I would have helped him. He is such a great coach, he prepares the games really well.

“We spoke that day and I still go to his office to talk about what we love, football.”

Udinese face Inter in the last game of the season. In the summer, De Paul will be involved in the Copa America with Argentina.

“In the reverse fixture against Inter we defended as a team and we kept a clean sheet. It would be great to score a free-kick goal. I’m missing it. In Argentina, it is forbidden, Messi takes them because he is the best,” said De Paul.

“We are a strong side, we want to go all the way through and give joy to Argentina fans after the death of Maradona.”
