Bayer Leverkusen boss Peter Bosz claims Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt was already a great player when he was 17.
Bosz was De Ligt’s Coach at Ajax during the 2016-17 campaign and started his fellow Dutchman against Manchester United in that season’s Europa League Final.
“When I was coaching Ajax he was only 17, but he was a great player even then,” Bosz said at a Press conference for tomorrow’s Champions League clash with Juve.

“There are only a few talents like him around. Juve are a great team, who are difficult to face.
“Sarri loves to get his teams playing well. We’ve already seen it with Napoli and Chelsea.”
Leverkusen have not made the best of starts in the Champions League this season, losing 2-1 at home to Lokomotiv Moscow in their first game.
“We absolutely had to win at home to Lokomotiv.Unfortunately it didn’t happen and tomorrow we have a second chance.
“There can’t be any sign of nerves. It would’ve been better not to have this downtime, but it’s not relevant.”
