Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis has revealed his intention to sign two new defenders either in January or in June.
The movie mogul has made no secret of his ambition to strengthen Napoli's squad after an encouraging start to the season.
"I confirm it," De Laurentiis said. "I will certainly make a signing in defence and probably also another central defender too."
Asked to reveal when he plans to opens his chequebook, he replied: "Between January and June-July.

"If it were down to me I would play one team in the first half and another in the second. I like to take risks, you know.
"But with the Coach that we have, it's a case of not having more than 22 or 23 players. Otherwise they'd rot…
"My players are all champions otherwise they would not be at Napoli. So they are all interchangeable. I never make judgements on a year by year basis, only after five years and I want to build a team whose value is always growing."
