Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis confirms Roberto Inglese will join from Chievo in January, and is “looking for land outside the city” for a new stadium.

The Partenopei have already signed the striker, but loaned him back to the Flying Donkeys for the season.

However, when asked about the possibility of reinforcing the squad in January the patron confirmed 26-year-old will arrive six months early.

“First of all, we’ll have [Arkadiusz] Milik back in January,” De Laurentiis pointed out.

“Inglese will also join then.”

De Laurentiis has been hugely critical of the Stadio San Paolo, calling it “a toilet” and wants to redevelop it into a smaller arena.

“I’m looking for land outside of Naples, because with this administration it doesn’t exist anywhere [inside].

“When I see [Luigi] De Magistris at the stadium I greet him like an old friend, but not like my mayor. There’s no dialogue, no relationship.

“But it’s superficial to say that we’ve invested €250m of state money in Naples for the 2019 Universiade, when there are people who are struggling to get to the end of the month…”
