Charles De Ketelaere played just 15 minutes at the World Cup with Belgium, and Gazzetta stresses that the Milan starlet is now looking for redemption with the Rossoneri.

The 21-year-old was Milan’s most expensive signing last summer but failed to justify his €32m price tag at San Siro in the first part of the campaign when he only delivered one assist in 18 appearances.

He was included in Belgium’s World Cup squad in Qatar but played just 15 minutes as a substitute in the Red Devils’ 2-0 loss against Morocco last week.

Gazzetta reports that the Belgian starlet has returned to his native country after Belgium’s World Cup elimination and is expected to join his Milan teammates in Doha on December 11.

He could still decide to cut short his holidays, returning to Milanello before the trip to Doha, where Milan will train for 10 days, meeting Arsenal and Liverpool in friendly encounters.

CDK has been under severe pressure in his first few months at San Siro and will be looking to improve his performance in the second part of the campaign.

Milan are convinced about his qualities and are willing to give him time as they did with Rafael Leao and Sandro Tonali, who had had a disappointing first season at the club.

  1. CDK will be looking for redemption after his much needed holiday after playing 15 minutes in 21 days.

    What a work ethic.
