Charles De Ketelaere is at risk of missing out on Atalanta’s upcoming home clash against Juventus in Serie A on Sunday evening through injury according to reports from multiple outlets on Friday evening.
The Belgian international has been on a personalised training programme in Bergamo according to the likes of Gianluca Di Marzio and Calciomercato.com, and it is yet to be seen whether he will be fit enough in time for Sunday’s headline fixture.
Calciomercato notes that De Ketelaere has been suffering with a muscle strain in his left quadricep picked up during La Dea’s most recent league game against Hellas Verona.
The former Milan forward had come on as a half-time substitute against Verona, but was not taken off as the discomfort had only really become apparent after the full-time whistle.
A final decision over De Ketelaere’s fitness will likely be made on Saturday according to Calciomercato.
Elsewhere for Atalanta, Gianluca Scamacca and El-Bilal Toure will definitely miss out on the visit of Juventus due to their respective longer-term injuries.
