Nigel de Jong has looked to clarify that he is ‘happy at Milan’ and is not intending to leave the club this summer.

The Netherlands international hinted two weeks ago that his future may be away from the Rossoneri, in light of Clarence Seedorf’s then-impending exit in place of Pippo Inzaghi.

With that coaching change now confirmed, the 29-year-old has looked to assert that his future remains at San Siro.

“I am happy at Milan, I have no problem in staying with the Rossoneri again next season even as there is a new Coach.

“However, this is not the time to think about my club, there is a World Cup to be played. At the moment I am focused only on that with the Dutch national team,

“However, I have absolutely never asked Milan to leave and to be placed on the transfer market.”
