Milan have confirmed Nigel De Jong went under the knife today for an Achilles tendon injury and will be out for six months.
The midfielder collapsed during Sunday’s 4-2 victory at Torino and was diagnosed with a ruptured Achilles tendon in his left leg.

The midfielder collapsed during Sunday’s 4-2 victory at Torino and was diagnosed with a ruptured Achilles tendon in his left leg.
The club released a statement confirming that De Jong underwent an operation in Benalmandena, near Malaga, with Professor Sakari Orava.
Surgery was successful and “the recovery period is approximately six months, save for complications.”
