Nigel de Jong has reiterated his focus is on continuing his career with Milan, rather than considering a move to Ajax.
Interviewed by Heroes Online, he answered the question on whether he would ever return to the Amsterdam club with the idiom: “Never say never.”
“Playing in the Netherlands again would be beautiful, but at an advanced age there would be tremendous expectations.
“I'll have to think about it and see how I feel.”

But De Jong was adamant his immediate future was in Milan: “I'm 29-years-old, I'm at my prime. I've never felt better in my life.
“It's still a bit early for homecomings. I want to continue to play overseas as much as possible.”
