Fiorentina once again needed a single goal to come away with all three points, as they saw their goalkeeper David De Gea finish a match without conceding to strengthen an impressive defensive record on the road.
Viola’s 1-0 win at Torino was their second away victory with the same scoreline in three days, as they keep showcasing a staggering defensive solidity, especially far from the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
De Gea keeps shining as Fiorentina improve away defensive record
Since the start of their Serie A season, Fiorentina have kept a clean sheet for four consecutive away games, managing to do so only for the third time in history, as reported by Opta.

Specifically, they started such a streak on 29 September in a 0-0 draw against Empoli, before winning 6-0 at Lecce and securing two consecutive 1-0 victories at Genoa and Torino.
They had previously kept five clean sheets in a row on the road in 2007 and four in 1966.
Raffaele Palladino’s side currently boast the third-best defence in Serie A after Juventus and Napoli, having conceded nine goals from 11 games, and former Manchester United goalkeeper De Gea is proving a key factor to their defensive solidity, as he was recently named the best-performing Serie A player in the opening ten rounds.
