The Ducali held Inter to a 2-2 draw in which they were leading, but lost at home to Hellas Verona in the next game. That has led to some asking if Parma's quicker players struggle against packed defences.

"We play better when there is an open pitch, it suits our characteristics, and then it depends on the situation. Against Verona it was a different game [than against Inter], they conceed little, but the performance was there. A centre forward could've given us a hand," said the coach in his press conference.

Parma face Fiorentina this evening, and D'Aversa expects a battle against Vincenzo Montella's side.

"We are going to face a strong team with players like Gaetano Castrovili, Erick Pulgar and Federico Chiesa. They have huge quality from the bench also. We must respect the enourmous qualities of their team, but we also have to have the determination to bring home a result."

D'Aversa revealed that defender Bruno Alves should return for the game against Roma, and that Giuseppe Pezzella suffered a knock and is in doubt. Alberto Grassi is also expected to return.
