With the Ducali 11 points behind safety in Serie A, D’Aversa said his own future ‘doesn’t matter’ ahead of the game against bottom-placed Crotone.

“It’s tomorrow at 18.00 [17.00 UK time] against Crotone,” D’Aversa said at a press conference. “The rest doesn’t matter.

“Regardless of the durations of the contracts, we must continue with the same thought.

“Last year, I also had a contract, and I was told that I would most likely not be the coach.

“Today, my future is tomorrow, then the next game. At the end of the championship, we will sit down to discuss, just like every year.”
