"I think today there must be disappointment for the result, but not for the performance,” the coach told Sky Sport Italia.
“It’s proof that you have a to kill off the game when you have a chance.
“There were many occasions where we should have been more clinical and eventually Udinese scored the equaliser.
“Having said that, in the final minutes we still had two sensational opportunities to bring home the three points," D'Aversa added.
“There must be discomfort for the result but not for the performance because we made a good game.
“The refereeing was debatable too, sometimes episodes can decide the game. There have been more yellow cards than fouls. Someone else will judge the referee, we must only focus on ourselves.”
D’Aversa explained why Gervinho and Jasmin Kurtic were sent to the stands and were not available for the game.
“I had already decided Gervinho would have started on the bench. He’s always played since I returned and he must be managed properly, given his age.
“There are also other reasons and I always expect the maximum of professionality from both of them, on and off the pitch.”
