The Ducali are seventh in Serie A, whilst their opponents sit in the relegation zone, but D’Aversa doesn’t believe his side are better.

“I don’t agree on considering Brescia inferior to us. They won Serie B last season, and they have had some difficulty adapting to a higher level, but if you look at the players they have, like Romulo and Mario Balotelli, who have always played at the top level.

“We must not believe that we are superior to others, because the results we are getting are down to hard work. There can be difficulties if we believe we are superior to Brescia, even on paper.”

Midfielder Dejan Kulusevski has been the talk of the league recently, with speculation that he will sign for Inter in January, but D’Aversa doesn’t want to comment on the situation.

“The club will operate on the market as it sees fit. We must think exclusively of the game against Brescia.”

The Gialloblu have the fifth-best defensive record in Serie A, but is vary that Brescia’s points seem to come away from home.

“Analysing Brescia’s points, they have 13 points in total, nine of which they won away from home. This means that they probably know how to exploit their characteristics better on the road.”

D’Aversa confirms that his side will be without Andreas Cornelius and Roberto Inglese, but that Juraj Kucka is available.

“Kucka has trained with the team today so he will be there. Inglese and Cornelius aren’t available. Matteo Scozzarella is being treated for his injury elsewhere.

“The number of injured is more or less the same. It’s clear t me that when you play continuously and in the national sides that injuries occur. We always seem to get injuries in the same area, first it was midfielders, but now it's attackers.”
