Italy will host England on March 23 and visit London on October 17 for the EURO 2024 qualifiers.

The two nations keep on getting drawn together, as after the Azzurri won the EURO 2020 Final at Wembley Stadium on penalties, they also clashed in the Nations League.

That didn’t go well for England either, as they were relegated to Nations League B after a 0-0 draw on home soil and 1-0 defeat at San Siro.

They have now been paired together in the EURO 2024 qualifying group too, along with Ukraine, North Macedonia and Malta.

England have now confirmed the first meeting will be in Italy on Thursday March 23, 2023.

The return fixture will be on Tuesday October 17, 2023.

The top two teams from the group qualify automatically for the EURO 2024 finals tournament along with hosts Germany.

Another three are decided via play-offs.

Italy are in a group of five teams rather than six, so they have time to play in the Nations League Final Four.

  1. I wanted to face them as earliest as possible given that they will likely have a Manager change and will have as little time as possibly allowed to have a smooth transition.

  2. YES INDEED, excellent point. It’s likely we wont need any unforseen advantage to beat England it’s almost a given these days, but if they’re in transition then so be it
