Lega Serie A have officially announced the dates of Inter and Milan’s Derby della Madonnina matches for the 2022-23 season.
The two sides were neck and neck in the title race in the season just gone, fighting tooth and nail until the final day of the campaign for the Scudetto. The Rossoneri eventually came out on top, leaving the Nerazzurri to lick their wounds over the summer ahead of their challenge to reclaim the Scudetto.
Lega Serie A announced the full 2022-23 Serie A fixture list today, confirming that the first Derby della Madonnina will kick off between Milan and Inter on September 4. The return match will be played on February 5.
With both derbies coming early into each half of the season, the two games will represent key starting points for both Milanese clubs. A win in either match could provide the momentum needed to take the edge in a possible title race.
