The 2022-23 Serie A fixture list will be drawn up during a live television event on Friday June 24.

This show begins at 11.00 UK time (10.00 GMT), transmitted by DAZN and the Lega Serie A YouTube channel.

Curiously, Lega Serie A President Lorenzo Casini and CEO Luigi De Siervo will be present, but not representatives of the various top flight clubs.

The presence of club chiefs had caused some bizarre scenes in the past, most notably Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis storming out in protest over a particularly tough run of fixtures and hitching a ride from a passing fan on a moped.

After the success of the 2021-22 season, Serie A will again be drawn up with an ‘irregular’ structure, so the second half of the campaign is not simply a mirror image of the first set of fixtures.

Instead, they will be completely separate, therefore hoping to make it easier for the clubs involved in European competition.

Even though Italy aren’t in the 2022 World Cup, the season will still take a break for the tournament from November 13 to January 4, with the league ending on June 4.
