It has been confirmed that the new President of the FIGC will be elected on January 29.
ANSA reports the date was set by outgoing chief Carlo Tavecchio at a meeting by the federation’s Council on Friday morning.
The elective assembly will also serve to appoint new council members, given Tavecchio’s board officially lost their powers as a result of his resignation last month.

Candidates have been few and far between, although there seems to be growing confidence in the head of the Italian players’ union, former Roma midfielder Damiano Tommasi.
