This afternoon Darmian was stretchered off during Manchester United’s Premier League trip to Norwich.
It was a strange injury, as Pinto appeared to accidentally tread on his Achilles tendon.
The former Torino right-back was in visible pain and eventually stretchered off after several minutes of treatment.
Now Italy and Manchester United are anxiously awaiting news from the medical staff to see if there is any serious damage.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Darmian called his family to reassure them the injury was not serious.
