Manchester United full-back Matteo Darmian is all set to join Parma in a reported €1.5m deal.

Sky Sport Italia, Sportitalia, Gazzetta dello Sport and Tuttomercatoweb all report the transfer will go through tomorrow.

Darmian is expected to sign a long-term contract with Parma, with Sportitalia and TMW writing it is a four-year deal.

The move marks something of a coup for the Ducali, who recently missed out on Torino-bound Diego Laxalt.

Darmian is expected to sign a long-term contract with Parma, with Sportitalia and TMW writing it is a four-year deal.

The move marks something of a coup for the Ducali, who recently missed out on Torino-bound Diego Laxalt.

The Red Devils paid Toro €18m for the 29-year-old in the summer of 2015, but he went on to play just 92 times in four seasons.

Despite that, he leaves Old Trafford with two domestic cups and a Europa League winners’ medal.

He has 36 caps for Italy, representing the Azzurri at the 2014 World Cup, and can play on the right or left.

Darmian will become the second United player to join a Serie A club this week after Chris Smalling signed for Roma.
