Chievo Coach Lorenzo D’Anna says his side must achieve Serie A survival ‘at all costs’ ahead of today’s meeting with Bologna.

The Flying Donkeys made a winning start to former Primavera Coach D’Anna’s tenure last week, beating Crotone 2-1 in a vital relegation six-pointer.

However, they remain just one point clear of the drop zone ahead of today’s trip to face Roberto Donadoni’s team.

“So far, we have only got on the path we want to follow. Now we have to reaffirm it on the pitch, in our heads and in our legs,” D’Anna said when asked about the importance of last weekend’s victory.

“The desire of these boys is very high, they have worked hard since the first day I arrived.

“Nobody has given an inch. We can’t lose the quality in our play, adding the willingness to run, sacrifice and stay compact.

“If we can do that, we shouldn’t fear anyone.

“We need to achieve our objective at all costs and put in a great performance.

“It needs to be a great performance individually and collectively.”
