Danilo returns to the starting XI for Juventus and insists they ‘learned’ from last year’s 5-1 defeat to Napoli going into this evening’s showdown. ‘We play with a different attitude.’

It kicks off at the Allianz Juventus Stadium in Turin at 19.45 GMT.

The Bianconeri have won six of their last seven games, stalled only 1-1 by leaders Inter, and now seem to be far more effective in the head-to-head battles.

“This is part of the natural growth process of the team. We know that beyond the three points, these fixtures give us a big mental boost going forward in the season,” Danilo told DAZN.

Last season, one of the moments that showed Napoli were heading towards the Scudetto was their astonishing 5-1 victory over Juventus, going on to also win the away fixture in Turin.

“That was a completely different context and a very difficult year, but we know that we can never afford to play a game like that when wearing the Juventus jersey,” added the Brazilian.

“We learned from that and you can see now that we play these head-to-head matches with a different attitude.”

Danilo has been out of action since sustaining a muscular injury on international duty in November, so while he came off the bench for the last-gasp win away to Monza, he is now back in the starting XI.
