Danilo says Juventus players are not affected by the training retreat and insists the Bianconeri must ‘run, defend and attack all together’ to get back to winning ways.
The Bianconeri have been sent into training retreat after back-to-back defeats against Sassuolo and Hellas Verona.
They have collected just 15 points in 11 Serie A games and are 16 points off leaders Milan and Napoli.
Tomorrow they face Zenit in the Champions League at the Allianz Stadium and either a win or a draw would allow the Old Lady to qualify for the Round of 16 with two games to spare.
“The game against Zenit comes at the right moment, it will be a difficult game,” Danilo said at a press conference.
“The squad is united, we are all focused on the same targets, now we need to relax and win tomorrow.”
The Brazil international stressed that Juventus players are not disappointed by the club’s decision to send the team into a training retreat.
“We had to leave our families and we know what we are going through. It’s ok to stay together, discuss football for the club,” the defender said.
“We want to do well and improve, we know it’s necessary to improve, that’s why nobody said anything when they informed us about it. We need to have the right mentality to win tomorrow.”
But what’s Juventus problem and how the Bianconeri can solve it?

Going to a training retreat is the least they could have expected following their last two results. It is the equivalent of schoolboys being kept in detention following bad work. Juve need to buck up their ideas.

Danilo is one of the few foreigners in the team that honors the jersey. He’s an average player but at least he gives all he can. Compare that to some others who are constantly bored and indifferent and don’t seem to care when Juve loses.
Yes, Uncle Zee, Danilo is world-class… he’s the best RB in the world right now, and arguably the best RB the world has ever seen… Happy?
