Sampdoria will be without midfielder Mikkel Damsgaard against Cagliari this weekend, as he picked up an injury on international duty.
The Denmark international lasted just 44 minutes in the 1-0 World Cup qualifying win against Austria.
He has returned to base and La Gazzetta dello Sport reports he is suffering from a flexor issue in his thigh.
More tests are required, but it seems highly unlikely that Damsgaard will be ready to face Cagliari on Sunday.
There is some good news for the Blucerchiati, though, as Manolo Gabbiadini is available again for the first time since badly spraining his ankle on August 23.
Valerio Verre is also back in action, but Mohamed Ihattaren has flown to the Netherlands over a family issue.
The player on loan from Juventus is yet to feature for Sampdoria.
