Wing-back Danilo D’Ambrosio has claimed ‘the group’ are Inter’s strength and praised coach Antonio Conte after a ‘well deserved’ 5-0 win against Shakhtar Donetsk.

D’Ambrosio added Inter’s second after 64 minutes, when the Nerazzurri delivered a magnificent performance in the semi-finals of the Europa League on Monday.

“A well deserved win, for the whole group,” D’Ambrosio told Sky Sport Italia. “Not only for the 11 who played, but for everyone.

“The availability of everyone, how we are fighting for the same goal is important for the coach, who sees a motivated group of players.

“We have strong players up front, but the strength of this Inter is the group that exalts the individuals, who then bring the results.”

The wing-back is pleased he has reclaimed his place in the side and thanked Conte for giving him 'confidence'.

“The thing that makes me proud is that every year they tell me it’s my best season,” he added. “You can see the daily work.

“Thanks to the club that allowed me to stay, to the coach who gave me confidence and my teammates who allow me to give 100 per cent.”

Inter stretched their winning streak to six games, having only conceded once in the process, and D’Ambrosio revealed Conte prepare the Beneamata in the best possible way.

“We have a coach who teaches football, it’s not just me who says it,” he said. “Then the interpreters are good at doing what he tells us.

“He puts us in a position to do our best and to have clear and precise ideas.”
