The lengthy negotiations between Milan and Manchester United over Diogo Dalot continue and could reportedly last until the last day of the transfer market.

After having secured back-up for Theo Hernandez at left, Milan are working to bring in an alternative for Davide Calabria at right.

Fode Ballo-Toure arrived from Monaco to fight with Hernandez for a place in the side, and the Rossoneri now hope to secure a new deal with Manchester United regarding Diogo Dalot, who spent last term on loan at San Siro.

But the negotiations with Manchester United are still ongoing and Tuttosport believes the two parties are still far away from reaching an agreement.

The newspaper claims the two parties are prepared to negotiate until the last day of the transfer market, as Milan are determined to convince United.

Milan are hoping to sign the Portuguese full-back on another loan deal, but the Red Devils are, according to Sky Sport Italia, asking for a paid loan worth €5m.

United reportedly prefer a permanent deal for Dalot, who played 33 competitive games with the Rossoneri last term, or a loan deal with an obligation to buy.

Dalot arrived at Man Utd in July 2018 and the 22-year-old’s contract at Old Trafford expires in June 2023.
