The Lega President Paolo Dal Pino has revealed Serie A will ‘lose €600m from February to December’.
Dal Pino spoke at the prestigious Global Boardroom of the Financial Times and revealed the impact of coronavirus on the Italian top flight.
“It was a great success to be able to restart the championship,” he said, according to SportMediaset.
“The situation is very serious. From February to December, Serie A will love €600m, of which €400m come from tickets and €200m from sponsors.”

But the Lega chief then touched on the strategies to relaunch the Italian championship on a global level.
“COVID can be an opportunity to change the Lega’s business model, even if it’s difficult to modernise a business in the situation we are in, at such a difficult time.
“The discussion about private equity funds started before the pandemic and we are at the final stage of the negotiation.
“The target is to exploit their managerial skills to create value for Serie A in the long run.”
