Lega Serie A President Paolo Dal Pino was ‘disappointed’ by the fact nine out of 20 clubs didn’t attend today’s meeting to discuss TV rights.

There are two proposals on the table from Sky Sport Italia and DAZN, while the issue of accepting private funds to set up their own channel has also been repeatedly delayed by disagreements.

They were meant to have a vote today, but nine out of 20 clubs did not bother to attend.

“It’s disappointing to find such a difference in viewpoints between clubs during such an important moment,” Dal Pino told reporters.

“Above all, we had for months managed to collaborate with success, creating the conditions so the bidding for domestic television rights achieved very good results.

“The offers we received are certainly thanks to the recent months of working in the same direction, making our tournament become appetising again.

“I am sure that soon the divisions that created this situation will be overcome. We have four years ahead of us to relaunch Serie A together and bring it back to a position of leadership in Europe.”
