Private equity firm CVC Capital Partners are reportedly ready to make an offer for 10 years of Serie A pay-per-view television rights, according to Il Sole 24 Ore.

The Italian version of the Financial Times, Il Sole 24 Ore claims that CVC are discussing a newco to purchase the TV rights to Serie A once the Sky Italia and DAZN contracts expire.

It would be a 10-year contract, allowing Serie A clubs to receive an immediate influx of cash.

The CVC Capital Partners fund would then negotiate directly with Sky, DAZN and other interested parties to sell the rights from the 2021-22 season.

It is a British-based private equity and advisory firm, which from 2005 to 2012 owned a majority of shares in the Formula One Group.
