Injured Inter defenders Benjamin Pavard, Stefan de Vrij and Denzel Dumfries didn’t take part in Monday’s training session, where Simone Inzaghi reportedly tried Juan Cuadrado, Carlos Augusto and Alexis Sanchez in the starting XI.

The Nerazzurri are training at Appiano Gentile on the eve of a key Champions League fixture against Real Sociedad at San Siro.

They have already qualified for the Round of 16 but must beat the La Liga side to win their group.

The opening 15 minutes of Inter’s training session on Monday were opened to the media. Stefano Sensi joined his teammates on the pitch where the injured Pavard, De Vrij, and Dumfries were the only absentees. Sensi won’t be available tomorrow anyway, as he’s not been included in Inter’s UEFA list.

According to FcInter1908, Inzaghi will partially rotate his squad on Tuesday by starting Cuadrado, Carlos Augusto and Sanchez, who were tried in the potential starting XI for tomorrow’s fixture.

Cuadrado would play as a right-wing back pushing Matteo Darmian on the bench or, more likely, in a three-man defence with Francesco Acerbi and Alessandro Bastoni. Carlos Augusto should replace Federico Dimarco on the left flank, while Sanchez will replace one between Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram if he starts.
