Juan Cuadrado feels the secret to Juventus success is “it’s like a family here and Gigi Buffon is one of the best in the world.”

The Colombian is on loan from Chelsea and it remains to be seen if Juve will buy him outright.

“It’s like being in a family here. We are a great group off the field too, we all work in the same direction and you can see that when it’s time to fight too. Nobody holds back and we all give everything,” Cuadrado told JTV.

“This is a great squad made up of great champions. Max Allegri asks me to play simple, to be concentrated in defending and, when I have space, to try my moves.

“I feel his faith in me and try to improve, because that is football. You must always try to grow. I’d love to score an overhead kick. It’s difficult, but who knows…”

There is visible admiration within the squad for captain and goalkeeper Buffon.

“We all know full well what he brings to the team. He is one of the best in the world and knowing he’s in our goal fills us with confidence and pride.

“He doesn’t just give his contribution on the field, but in the locker room too.”

On Sunday afternoon the Serie A leaders host Palermo in Turin, fresh from their ninth change of management.

“It will certainly be a difficult match, as always. We must go out there with the hunger and determination to get a result. Playing at the Stadium and having the fans by our side is always an extra weapon.”
