Juventus risk losing Juan Cuadrado after trying to renegotiate his contract with a massive pay cut.
The 34-year-old’s deal was automatically renewed after he played his 40th match of the season, and with it the same salary worth circa €5m per season.
That is considered far too much now by Juve for the veteran, who are reportedly trying to negotiate it down by a long way.
Sport Mediaset claim the proposal was to make it a two-year deal, or one year with option for a second, at €3m per season instead.
Cuadrado turned that down and is now therefore considered on the market should a suitable offer come in.
The Colombia international is a fan favourite and beloved by coaches too for his versatility, able to play as a right-back, a right-sided midfielder or in a trident attack.
He contributed five goals and seven assists in 45 competitive games for Juve this season.
