Juan Cuadrado will be forced to miss Juventus’ upcoming Supercoppa Italiana match against Inter due to suspension.

The 33-year-old Colombian right back picked up his fifth yellow card of the Serie A season in the dying minutes of the first half of the Bianconeri’s match against Roma this evening, making him unavailable for the match against the Nerazzurri.

Serie A players are given a one-match suspension for every five yellow cards accumulated in the league and this carries over to the Supercoppa Italiana match as well.

The Colombian has previously won two Supercoppa Italiana titles with Juventus but now he’ll be forced to watch next week’s match against Inter from the sidelines.

Talented centre back Matthijs de Ligt will also be suspended for the match after picking up a red card in the 81st minute of the match against the Giallorossi.

The 33-year-old Cuadrado, whose contract expires with the Bianconeri at the end of this season, has made 24 appearances so far this campaign. In that time, he has scored four goals and proven himself to be a strong right back under coach Massimiliano Allegri.

  1. No one cares about this clown cup. Good for us that Cuadrado and De Ligt can have a break! Hopefully Allegri lets the whole U23 play.

  2. I already concede the match.

Besides John Square, De Ligt, Chiesa all out, an Inter that is on form, Allegri who will return from the Press Box, can’t see Juve winning this one.

  3. Good Luck Juve for the final with Inter, Inter they are very strong and always they play to win. will be miracle Juve to win Italian super cup. Let Arthur to play 90 min. Let Bentacur to rest.
