Torino are trying to renegotiate the purchase clause with West Ham United for Nikola Vlasic and could get a boost from legal action by CSKA Moscow for unpaid fees.

Vlasic arrived last summer on loan with an option to buy for €13m plus another €3m in performance-related bonuses.

The Croatia international found the net five times with eight assists in 37 competitive games between Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

He is also eager to remain with Torino on a permanent basis, but the Granata are trying to negotiate a lower transfer fee, seeing the initial €9m plus €1.5m in bonuses rejected by West Ham.

However, Tuttosport claim that Toro could get a boost in their attempts to lower the costs by the legal action taken by CSKA Moscow against West Ham.

CSKA maintain they were only paid the first instalment in the €30m transfer agreed in August 2021, with West Ham failing to pay the rest because since then sanctions ban the British clubs from sending money to Russia.

FIFA have come down in favour of CSKA Moscow and warned West Ham must pay the remaining €17.43m before July 31 or the figure owed will go up to €25.62m.
