Crystal Palace have made contact with Juventus full back Filip Kostic to explore a move ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 31-year-old Serbian left back shined in his debut season with the Old Lady, scoring three goals and providing 11 assists across 54 matches. Things have been a little more difficult this term, only managing four assists amidst the difficulties in Turin.

Although Kostic has over two years left on his contract with Juventus, the club are open to letting him leave in the summer as they look to reduce their wage bill. Sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is aiming to reduce salary costs by around €30-40m as part of the club’s sustainable direction.

Page five of today’s Tuttosport explains how Crystal Palace have emerged to register their interest in Kostic ahead of the summer, keen to reunite the Juventus full back with his former Eintracht Frankfurt coach Olivier Glasner.

An unnamed club from Saudi Arabia also made contact with the 31-year-old, but he quickly rejected the idea, wanting to stay in Europe. The Old Lady have set a €10m price tag, an easily accessible fee for the Premier League side.
