The Serie A match between Genoa and Juventus on Saturday is expected to be played behind closed doors as a result of violent clashes with Sampdoria supporters in the Coppa Italia.
The Week 6 fixture is scheduled for this Saturday at 17.00 UK time (16.00 GMT) at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, commonly known as Marassi.
There was set to be a huge crowd in the stands for the big game, but reports suggest it will instead be played behind closed doors.
A final decision will be made by the local authorities on Friday morning and all signs are currently pointing towards an empty stadium.
Genoa fans punished for violence
This is a strong response to the violent clashes that happened both before and after last night’s Coppa Italia Second Round tie between rivals Genoa and Sampdoria.
There were 38 people injured in those incidents, 26 of them were members of police, who had tried to keep the two sets of hooligans separated.
The game ended 1-1 and Sampdoria went through on penalties.
