Crotone director of sport Giuseppe Ursino confirms Nwankwo Simy is wanted by Bundesliga clubs, while Junior Messias ‘will go to a big Italian side.’

The Squali were relegated just a year after their promotion from Serie B, but still made a strong impression with several of their players.

“Simy and Messias are not just formidable players, but also really good guys. They scored 30 goals between them, remarkable,” Ursino told Calciomercato.com.

“Obviously we can’t keep them in Serie B, so they will leave. Both have a lot of requests. I think Messias will go to a big Italian side.

“As for Simy, he is appreciated abroad too, and is particularly the focus of German clubs. It’s impossible to put a value on the players now, but I will say we don’t want to accept player exchanges.”

Another deal has already gone through, as Alex Cordaz will return to boyhood club Inter.

“I can say Cordaz will be a new Inter player. He made history at Crotone, but it’s only right that he ends his career where it all began.”
