There are reports Cristiano Ronaldo has asked one of his best friends from the Juventus squad to join him at Al Nassr.

The Portuguese superstar has started a new chapter of his career in Saudi Arabia with record-shattering wages after terminating the contract with Manchester United by mutual consent.

He wore the Juve jersey from 2018 to 2021 and made several good friends in the squad, most notably third-choice goalkeeper Carlo Pinsoglio.

The 32-year-old shot-stopper is well-loved by everyone at Juventus and considered something of a mascot in the locker room, even though he hardly ever sets foot on the pitch.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ronaldo has contacted Pinsoglio and urged him to come to Al Nassr to enjoy the lifestyle as well as play some football.

Pinsoglio has made only one five appearances in all competition since coming back to Juventus in 2017, practically all of them dead rubber fixtures at the end of the season.

His contract expires on June 30 and he would fill in for David Ospina, who fractured his elbow.
