La Gazzetta dello Sport reports Cristiano Ronaldo and Juventus’ lawyers will give their closing statement today in a legal battle that sees the Portuguese striker demand €19.5m for outstanding salaries.

Ronaldo has taken legal action against his former club Juventus claiming the Bianconeri still owe him €19.5m from the second ‘salary manoeuvre’ in the 2020-21 campaign.

The Serie A giants, on the other hand, believe Ronaldo has no right to demand such a fee as he practically renounced the outstanding salary when he moved to Manchester United in the summer of 2021.

The two parties have reached the final stages of the legal battle and will give their closing statement to the Court of Arbitration today, Wednesday, December 20, 2024.

According to Gazzetta, there could be a further hearing in January 2024, but it is still unsure whether it will occur, while the Court of Arbitration will issue its verdict in April 2024.
