“We know Ajax have a lot of pace in attack and cause problems for everyone, so we must do well in defence and then make the most of the opportunities we manage to create too,” Cristante told Sky Sport Italia.
“We’re conceding a few too many goals lately and it’s fundamental we defend as a team, because we need to cover the spaces and help the defence.
“It is crucial that we improve our solidity at the back, because we know that sooner or later we will score goals.”
Ajax dropped into the Europa League from the Champions League.
“We’ve prepared well, the coach studied Ajax and we just need to follow his instructions to put in a great performance.”
