New signing Jonathan Cristaldo already scored his first Bologna goal and is “very happy to be here, as I really like the city.”

The forward grew up at Velez Sarsfield and arrived at the Stadio Dall’Ara on loan from Metalist Kharkiv.

He played in a friendly against Slovenians NK Triglav Kranj today and secured the 1-0 victory by converting a penalty.

“I am very happy to be here, as I was anxious to play with the Bologna shirt,” Cristaldo told Sky Sport Italia.

“I’m so glad to have scored my first goal. I decided to come to Bologna as I really like the city and the club showed it wanted me. Now I want to repay them for their faith in me.

“I played as a trequartista at Velez, where I was teammates with Mauro Zarate.”

He also revealed his nickname is ‘El Churry.’ “It was originally Churrasco when I was a kid, although I prefer Churry.”
