La Nazione this morning reports that the Viola will try to bring the Italian international back to Serie A this summer to bolster their defence, but the player’s agent insists he’s unaware of any links.
“At the moment I don’t know anything,” Andrea D’Amico told Tuttomercatoweb.
“He’s just renewed with Zenit until 2018, and so far I’ve not heard from anyone. He’s doing very well in Russia, and hopes to achieve goals such as winning the League and Europa League.
“A return to the national team? If [CT Antonio] Conte calls him then he’ll be happy.”
