Domenico Criscito's agent will reportedly talk with Napoli today after the San Paolo outfit agreed a deal with Genoa.

The Rossoblu have accepted the Azzurri's €6m offer for a share in the player and the move looks to be on.

However, Andrea D'Amico knew relatively little about the negotiations when he was contacted by TMW last night.

"I know that Napoli are interested in the player, but I've not spoken in depth with them about the possibility of a transfer," he stated.

However, Andrea D'Amico knew relatively little about the negotiations when he was contacted by TMW last night.

"I know that Napoli are interested in the player, but I've not spoken in depth with them about the possibility of a transfer," he stated.

According to Sky Sport Italia, D'Amico, who was out of the country yesterday, will meet with Napoli officials at some stage on Thursday.

Criscito, who played for Italy in Tuesday's 2-0 loss to the Republic of Ireland, is unlikely to object to the switch seeing as the former Juventus youngster is a Neapolitan.

"I certainly like Napoli, as it's a place that breathes football. Next term they'll be in the Champions League and I hope they can do even better than this season," he told Radio CRC yesterday.

"If I did come to Napoli, then I would be willing to change position, as if Walter Mazzarri wanted me to, I could adapt to a centre-back role.

"I haven't played there in four years, but it shouldn't be a problem."
