“It’s been over a year since we won away from home and those points ultimately make the difference. We are happy and want to continue along this path,” the captain told Sky Sport Italia.
Criscito had been the subject of an offer from Fiorentina in the January transfer window, but turned it down.
“Genoa is in my heart, I never thought of leaving and I’m very pleased to have remained. We are one point off the safety zone, there’s a long way to go this season and we need to focus.
“We are third-from-bottom, so we need to rely on other results as well as our own, but all we can do is try to get as many points as possible.
“There were a lot of changes in January with experienced players who are giving us a big hand. We must never give up.”
