He had a brief spell as Coach of the Parma under-19 team in 2014-15, then was at Serie B side Modena from July 2015 to March 2016.

Modena dismissed the Argentine after 11 wins, five draws and 19 defeats.

Crespo had most recently taken on a role as a director with Parma, aiding their return to Serie A after bankruptcy.
