“The first thing that comes to mind is the goal that I scored past Gianluca Pagliuca in 1996. I was wearing the Gialloblu jersey of Parma and I remember the stadium so well: beautiful, imposing, with incredible fans.
“San Siro really fires you up, it gets the best out of you. The first time I came here as an opponent, Carlo Ancelotti told me: ‘Do you know that we’re playing at La Scala del Calcio? Only the great players make the difference here.’
“When you pull on the Inter shirt, you must know this and understand the responsibilities that come with it. The fans ask you to respect these colours.
“In a stadium like this, you give everything you’ve got, both for them and for you.”
