The home side are still yet to win a league game this season and these Cremonese vs. Roma predictions suggest that nothing will change on Tuesday.

Cremonese vs. Roma odds

1 – Roma to win – 8/11

2 – Under 2.5 goals scored – 4/6

3 – Both teams not to score – 7/10

4 – Ola Solbakken to score at any time – 3/1

5 – Roma to win 2-0 – 13/2

Davide Ballardini has been unable to turn things around since coming in as Cremonese coach in January, as the Grigiorossi remain winless and rock bottom of Serie A. The visit of Roma on Tuesday seems unlikely to alter that statistic.

Cremonese did manage to gain a creditable draw away at Torino on Monday but relegation back to Serie B is all but guaranteed for the club now and the team is only really playing for pride. Even that seems to be in short supply, however.

Ballardini may expect the visitors to sit back a little here though, so will hope that his forwards will at least get a few chances to boost the second-worst strike rate in the league. It is a shame, then, that Roma boasts one of the stingiest defences in Italy.

Jose Mourinho will expect his side to come away from the Stadio Giovanni Zini with all three points on Tuesday, as Roma look to consolidate their top four position. Progress in the Europa League was assured in the week but the Giallorossi want to be playing in the Champions League next season.

New signing Ola Solbakken was cut from the European squad because of financial issues but has started well for his new team and could get another chance on Tuesday. He scored his first for Roma in the win against Hellas Verona last weekend and could well repeat that trick here.

Roma should be in full command for this one and a bet on an away win to nil looks good, as Mourinho’s men look to keep up the pressure on the rest of the clubs at the top of the table.

Cremonese team news

Davide Ballardini is still without the injured Vlad Chiriches but should put out an unchanged side from the one that started against Torino. Expect the lively Felix Afena-Gyan to come on at some point up front though.

Roma team news

Jose Mourinho is in the enviable position of being able to switch around his forward line and may well bring Ola Solbakken in after he missed the win over Salzburg in the week. Stephen El Sharaaway may also start. Tammy Abraham may have to make do with a place on the bench though – and Chris Smalling is suspended, with Diego Llorente potentially deputising.
